Mobarakeh Steel, with the support of domestic manufacturers, succeeded in successfully completing the design, installation and operation project of 4pcs of 8-ton gantry cranes for the assembly and repair of graphite electrodes in the steelmaking area.

Mohammad Javad Zarkoub, head of Mobarakeh Steel’s electric arc furnaces, confirmed this news and said: The design, construction, installation, commissioning and operation of 4 gantry cranes were carried out by engineers and experts of Damavand Company and Mobarakeh Steel Company’s engineering affairs, along with experts in production, repairs, technical and support services and the electric arc furnace unit in the steelmaking and continuous casting area.

He called providing suitable conditions for increasing production one of the strengths of this project and continued: The localization of these cranes was implemented at a cost of 475 million Tomans, which, compared to the foreign version, in addition to sanctions, transportation and customs costs, and international restrictions, prevented about 750 million Tomans from leaving the country.
